Sparrownews has reported that in the official Weibo post, the company revealed a couple of key features of the Xiaomi 13 Pro smartphone most related to the camera of the handset. As per the post, the handset will come equipped with a Sony sensor more precisely, a 50MP 1-inch IMX989 sensor. The telephoto of the handset will have 3X zoom and offer 75mm equivalent sensor.
The teaser video posted by the company on Weibo describes how the new floating lens setup for the telephoto lens work and can also focus on a subject from a 10cm distance. The new camera setup of Xiaomi 13 Pro is co-developed with Leica and the handset also has branding on the camera housing at the back.
In addition to that, the teaser video also gives us a small glimpse at the rear camera design. As per the video, the phone will feature a massive rectangular camera housing that covers almost 3/4th of the back panel. Xiaomi has also dropped some camera samples taken using the Xiaomi 13 Pro smartphone.
Xiaomi 13 Pro: Expected specifications
As per the previous leaks and rumours, Xiaomi 13 Pro is likely to feature a 6.7-inch E6 LTPO display with 2K resolution. The handset is also expected to be one of the first smartphones to come with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset. The smartphone is speculated to come with up to 12GB RAM and 512GB onboard storage.
In terms of camera, the handset will offer a triple rear camera setup which includes a 50MP primary shooter, 50MP ultra-wide and a 50MP telephoto sensor.
