Archaeology enthusiasts have claimed they have “proof” time travel exists after they said planes and helicopter were found in Egyptian hieroglyphs.
The image of the 3,000-year-old hieroglyphs found in Seti I’s temple in Abydos, Egypt, appears to show a helicopter, a futuristic-looking aircraft and a plane, among insects and snakes.
Now, pseudoscientists and conspiracy theorists have claimed the “Helicopter Hieroglyphs”, as they are known as, are evidence the Egyptians must have seen, or at least have images of, those modern aircrafts.
According to their beliefs, extraterrestrials who visited earth from the future, were behind the Egyptian pyramids, Britain’s Stonehenge
Stephen Meera, who is the Chairman of Manchester’s Association of Paranormal Investigation & Training, introduced the image of the hieroglyphs during a UFO conference held in Westminster, London.
The UFOologist told the audience: “Look it has what looks like the rotor blade and here is what looks like a rudder.”
Discussing the plane, Meera added: “And what about this? Is that a rudder and this the wing?
“I am not saying that this is a helicopter, but it is worth considering. Why would they put these images in and had they seen them?”
For sceptics, however, the carved hieroglyphs are not proof ancient Egyptians encountered creatures from the future, as none of their writings mentions aircrafts or time-travelling creatures.
According to Rain is Cool blog, the markings are the fruit of a mistake.
The hieroglyphs were created by overlapped carvings – by overlaying several names (Seti I and Ramesses II) on top of each other effectively creating the futuristic hieroglyphs.
The website read: “Pharaohs had five names.
“Each name is usually started with specific pictograms.”
