Google has announced the rollout of new updates for Workspace. The update includes– resizable pivot tables in Sheets, improved search results in Gmail and sharing Docs, Sheets and Slides in Google Meet chat.
While using Sheets, users can now resize the pivot table editor side panel. The feature comes into play when the columns or field’s names are too long and the user wants to read the entire text, Google said in a blog post.
Google announced a better search and suggestion option in Gmail in July. The search-engine giant said it will now use users’ Gmail search based on recent activity to improve search results when accessing Gmail via the web.
“This enhancement to Gmail search makes results more relevant and contextual,” the blog post read.

Earlier this year, the company announced the ability to join or present to a Google Meet call through Docs, Sheets or Slides.
If users are presenting or joining a meeting via file (it could be Docs, Sheets or Slides), they can share the respective file with meeting attendees through an in-meeting chat.
“With this update you’re able to grant access to a document, spreadsheet, or presentation to all or select meeting attendees, allowing everyone in the meeting to collaborate while having a conversation,” added Google.
The updates will be available to all Workspace and G Suite users in the next 15 business days, noted Google in the blog post.
