After a long wait, Apple unveiled the 2nd-generation Apple AirPods Pro last month. The latest TWS earbuds from the company went on sale last week and now it has started receiving its first firmware update.
The firmware update is now available for AirPods Pro 2nd-generation models. According to the official Apple support page, the update carries version number 5A377 and it only brings Bug fixes and other improvements.
The company hasn’t specified in detail the bugs that the update is supposed to fix or the ‘other improvements’ that the update includes.
Firmware updates on AirPods automatically get installed via over-the-air update when it is connected to an iOS device and power source. Also, the AirPods need to be in the case for the update. There’s no manual way of doing that So you’ll have to wait till the update is available for your AirPods.
Meanwhile, you can head to Settings → General → About → AirPods and check if it is running the latest firmware version.
